The Luther Prep Bowling Team is incredibly excited to be competing as a team at the state tournament this year! Seniors AJ Brown, Caleb Fisch, Paxton Clements, and Liesel Fiebke are headed to the tournament along with juniors Devin Wilkins, Josh Brown, Brady Gilkey, and Will Olson, and freshman Hailey Wilkins. Beating Lomira to win the conference and punch the ticket to state was a bit of a Miracle on Ice moment because on paper, the odds were not in our favor. However, we were able to pull through and secure the wins that were most important. For a team that has only existed for 5 years, having the opportunity to compete at state is a huge achievement. This is largely due to the efforts of Coach Kirk Fisch, who has earned a joking title among the team as "Coach of the Year". Additional thanks goes out to Coach Jamie Fisch, who keeps score and makes sure the team is caffeinated during meets. Overall, it was a great season and we are grateful for this opportunity to bowl at such a competitive level. Go Phoenix!
