Forensics

The world of high school forensics is exciting, challenging, and rewarding. There may be no other co-curricular activity that can do more to build poise, confidence, and strong self-esteem. Forensics offers immediate rewards, such as ribbons, medals, and trophies. In addition each participant will receive a lifetime of rewards;just ask any alumnus of the program.

Luther Preparatory School has been active in interscholastic forensic for nearly 60 years beginning competition in 1956. It is through the devotion and enthusiasm of Luther Preparatory School students and through the encouragement and guidance of parents and coaches, that forensics has grown to be such a popular and successful activity at Luther Preparatory School.

The Luther Preparatory School Forensics Team has become very active in invitational tournaments and has been recognized as one of the top programs in the state of Wisconsin. LPS, a former member of the Wisconsin High School Forensics Association (WHSFA), was the four time winner of the WHSFA Excellence in Speech Award (2008, 2009; 2011, 2012). The team also is a two time division III Wisconsin Forensics Coaches Association (WFCA) state champion. LPS has also qualified four students for the National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) National Tournament.
