Luther Prep Track and Field
April 15
Last night the Phoenix competed at the Deerfield Quad. Results can be found here. Competing at this meet were Deerfield, Luther Prep, Markesan, and Wayland Academy.
“With the Fall River Invitational cancelled last week, we needed to get everyone into competition before Easter Break. I’m thankful that Deerfield was willing to host the 100+ athletes on our Varsity and JV teams – we don’t have too many opportunities to have everyone at the same event! The strong winds made some events a little more challenging than usual, but I thought our athletes did a nice job of overcoming that. We had a number of solid early season performances last night.”

Luther Prep Golfers finish Third at Challenger Invite
The Luther Prep Golf Team shot a combined 186 Monday afternoon, which was good for third place at the Challenger Invite hosted by Abundant Life Christian at Nakoma GC in Madison. Sophomore Caleb Fitzsimmons carded a 43 to lead the Phoenix. Juniors Nathan Veenhuis and Owen Faber shot matching 44s and Senior Noah Neumann rounded out the scoring with a 52.

Both the varsity and JV Phoenix Golf Teams participated in the first annual Challenger Golf Invitational held at Nakoma CC in Madison on Monday, April 14th. Sophomore Caleb Fitzsimmons carded a 43 to lead the varsity. Juniors Nathan Veenhuis and Owen Faber shot matching 44s. On the JV side, 49 was the number of the day as Ethan Hanevik, Levi Schroeder, Riley Dodge, and Caleb Acosta all had matching scores.

Phoenix Finish Sixth in Menomonee Falls
J/unior Owen Faber shot his low round of the season (42) and the LPS Phoenix finished sixth in the second Midwest Classic Conference Mini Tuesday held at Wanaki GC in Menomonee Falls. Caleb Fitzsimmons (46), Nathan Veenhuis (47) and Micah Boggs (48) also scored for the Phoenix.
